Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh (C) is carried by supporters following Friday noon prayer at Al-Azhar mosque, in Cairo, Egypt, 24 February 2012. According to media reports, Haniyeh joined hundreds of Egyptians gathering at Al-Azhar Mosque on 24 February to show solidarity with the Palestinians against Israeli settlers’ attacks on Al-Aqsa mosque. The gathering also aimed at showing support to the Syrian people.
