Airplanes on the tarmac at Schiphol airport, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 07 December 2012. Heavy snowfall and high winds have caused major delays and disruptions to flights leaving Schiphol, with around a quarter of flights with European destinations cancelled. Flights were cancelled late on 06 December as a precautionary measure.
