Rebel Malian soldiers stand in a group having discussions after taking control of the state owned Radio and Television station in Bamako, Mali, 22 March 2012. Reports indicate rebel Malian soldiers have broadcast from state television proclaiming they have taken over control of the country following attacks on the state broadcaster and presidential palace late 21 March 2012. They announced a national curfew and have suspended the constituion. There has been no sign of the president or members of government but an exchange of gunfire was reported from the presidential palace. Mali was due to hold presidential elections in April.
