Connecticut State Troopers arrive on the scene outside the Sandy Hook Elementary School following a shooting inside the school in Newtown, Connecticut, USA 14 December 2012. Multiple deaths were reported in a shooting at a US elementary school in Connecticut. Reports state that said 27 people were dead, including 14 children. President Barack Obama had been informed and was getting regular updates on the situation, the White House said. A person believed to be the shooter was among the dead, the Hartford Courant newspaper reported. The school principal and a school psychiatrist were also killed, media reports state.
