A few days ahead of the fourth anniversary of the attacks Ajmal Kasab 24 the only terrorist captured alive after the 26 November 2008 terror attack in Mumbai was hanged in a jail in Pune India on 21 November 2012 authorities said. Kasab was convicted of murder and other crimes in May 2010. More than 160 people died in the three-day attack on Mumbai by 10 gunmen nine of whom were killed by security forces.
