BANGLADESH STRIKE VIOLENCE

There have been four days of rioting after a Bangladeshi war crimes tribunal sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami vice president Delwar Hossain Sayedee to death, after he was charged with murder, looting, arson, rape and the forcible conversions of Hindus to Islam during the 1971 war of secession from Pakistan. The army was deployed in the northern district of Bogra, where seven people were killed in an exchange of gunfire between protesters and police 03 March, police officer Abdul Waris said.
