Jones, a controversial US evangelical preacher, oversaw the burning of a copy of the Quran in a small Florida church triggering world wide protests by the Muslims for desecreating their holy book. Reports state that Jones burnt the copies to protest the imprisonment of a Christian clergyman in Iran.
