INDIA KASHMIR EMPLOYEES PROTEST

Kashmiri government employees shout slogans from police vehicle after they were detained by Indian police during a protest outside Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 25 May 2012. Four lakh state government employees started three-day strike from 24 to 26 May after rejecting the government appeal to call off strike. The employees are demanding among other things, regularization of daily wagers and increasing the retirement age from 58 to 60 years.
