Afghan fire fighters try to extinguish burning trucks reportedly carrying oil for NATO forces, after it were attacked by suspected Taliban militants, in the Rabatak area of Samangan province, Afghanistan, 18 July 2012. At least 22 tankers supplying fuel to the NATO-led international forces were destroyed when a petrol station caught fire early on 18 July in northern Afghanistan, an official said. “Over 120 tankers with the NATO and private fuel companies were parked near a gas station in the Rabatak area of Samangan province when the fire began,” said Seddiq Azizi, spokesman for the provincial governor, adding that the cause of the blaze was not clear. ?The mujahedin (Taliban fighters) blew up the NATO tankers early on 18 July in Rabatak area of Samangan province, in which 18 tankers and four trucks were completely burnt out,? Taliban spokesman Zabihulla Mujahed said in a statement.
