INDIA-MEDIA AND POLICE ATTACKED

An injured police officer is helped by colleagues into a vehicle after he was hit by a missile thrown by a lawyer in the southern Indian city of Bangalore, on 02 March 2012. Early in the morning media representatives were attacked by lawyers in a city court as they were waiting to cover BJP leader Janardhan Reddy?s appearance in the court in illegal mining case. The police used teargas and a lathi-charge as lawyers threw large stones at vehicles owned by different TV channels, and smashed their windows.
