PHILIPPINES US WAR GAMES PROTEST

Filipino policemen used their shields to block protesters from barging into the gates of US Embassy in Manila, Philippines, 27 April 2012. Members of militant women’s group GABRIELA flocked in front of the US Embassy to denounce the presence of American troops in the recently concluded US-Philippines joint military exercises. The protesters sprawled on the ground in an act of condemnation. GABRIELA also demanded that the American troops leave after the exercises and never come back. Nearly 7000 Filipino and American soldiers participated in the military exercises
