An engine is robotically moved to the next station before installation into a Passat sedan at the Volkswagen automobile assembly plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, 21 February 2012. The VW plant, which manufactures the Passat sedan for the North American market, currently employs more than 2,500 people and recently announced the hiring of 200 more people to increase production capacity from 31 to 35 cars per hour. The facility has the ability to produce 150,000 vehicles per year.
