BRAVO!!
Congratulations David! Job well done. Wishing you much success.
I hope That Achdus will be restored in Boro park the sooner the better!
Yay!! This man is independent and therefore got my vote.
I am so excited. People used their heads and voted based on the qualifications of the candidate not what the song said.
Go David
May you use your position to help out all of us in the district.
Nice guys , finnish last .
u can vote him out next november.
Baruch Hashem,
All of you doubters will see what fresh energy David brings to the table. He truly believes in his cause and has not been in politics long enough to be entangled and wrapped up in the garbage that politics brings and the strings attached. He has been chosen for the people, by the people and he will fight for the people. David, Yashar Kochacha!!!
Burich Hashem!!!
He helped us out so much with the problems we had when building our new shul on 52nd,
Should hashem be on his right side to help him succeed snd help many more yidishe kinder
Can’t fool all the people all the time…
Frishe koiches in boro park
Boro park is in trouble
We will cry just like we cry after oboama
What a shame for b.p couldn’t. Bring out enough people to vote for lazar ‘i am telling for david he will be out by the next election
If you people think there are honest elections in NYC, you must be drinking too much wine on shabbos. Greenfield was a winner from the start thanks to his corrupt machine we call the Democratic party that helped him shut down the opposition. He was brazen enough to “legally” shut down his opposition because he didn’t want distractions. Ohh well, people keep voting for Charlie Rangel all these decades, why not Greenfield same story but with a yamulka.
I’m glad my vote counted.
congrats greenfield! all of your neighbors voted for you! wishing you much succes!
I didn’t run for councel yet, but you could call me “Reb Zalmen” already (I might run one day). Why does every stupid politcian get the Tittle “Reb”?
I want to commend VIN for keeping the covearge of this race very fair. Also another source outlet I am told jumped earlier to annonce Lazar the winner – Keep it up VIN.
By the way does hilchos Lashon Hora apply in such a race? cause if yes we as a community need to do Teshivah big time LOL.
Mazel Tov to David Greenfeld !! Baruch Hashem the best candidate won and it broke up the Hikind machine !!
Proffesionalism pays at the end good luck to you David
Now that he’s in what is he going to give you ? Remember next year he is up for reelection he just feeling in for one year…So lets judge him on the merits on how he will represent the community !
mazel tov very proud of his mother that raised such a son!! mazel tov again
your father is smiling from shomayim. dont forget to help all the yidden just like your father and mother always did . bhatzlacha
This is the man that stepped aside for Felder. What a mensch
Winning earned him the benefit of the doubt. Chances are you’ll be pleasantly surprized.
His is to young with no experience to represent our community …I think we made a mistake tonight by electing him I hope I’m wrong.
is it considered a big turn out?
big win for Greenfield twins. David in Brooklyn & Michael in Monsey!!! mazel tov…. good job boys!
Mizmor L’Dovid.
im so happy! i wish him ly good luck!
Now its clear Bobov is the most powerfull chasidus in boro park they delivered over 2000 votes that clearly made the election
Are people here drunk? Clean campaign? Professional? Did you not hear the meganoise today with all the chassidus who are “for Duvid Greenfeld” (love the Chassidish name)? I thought he was running for G.O. (that’s class president in school).
The lies and mistruths were rampant on all sides. It’s a sad day when the goyim run a cleaner campaign.
Mazel tov to Councilman Greenfield!
David Greenfeld, you are the right Candidate. Your were helping a lot for the new satmar shul on 52st. And others!!! That’s why we vote for you. David don’t forget from all of us after you win keep up the good work !
GREAT!!! The Moysdes and Kehiles got a good setback tonight!!! They ran after Lazar out of fear that some rich guy wont $$$$support them anymore. Kehiles were ready to throw us all under the bus and give us Lazar just cuz a few powerful people wanted so, but we all decided that we will NOT be stepped on anymore, and we voted for Greenfield.
I doubt that much will change with just 1 new person at the Council, but the election did what was long in the coming: Moysdes and Kehila bosses who cater only a few and themselves while using their power to have the gullible public to follow like donkeys, got kicked where it hurts.
I hope voters in all Jewish areas will from now on look beyond the “Kehilas” and “Moysdes” request, and vote for the candidate that they, the voters, believe and see is right for them!
hahahah…
this is the people voting againts Obama lol
There will be another election this November — in in 8 months — for this council seat.
The real winner in this campaign is the Brooklyn Syrian community who have bankrolled Greenfield and now have their man in office. The real loser is Agudath Israel who no longer has a candidate as a city council member. It really speaks to the demographics of the Brooklyn jewish community.
don’t get to overwhelmed
Open your eyes and see that there were pashkevilim from Lazar’s side too
Open your eyes and see that he ran a legal, competent campaign
Open your eyes and see that Lazar is shaking his hand in the photo above
Open yor eyes and see that he won Lazar by almost 20%
open your eyes and see how many people on this blog supported him
Open your eyes and see he’s just as heimish (or not) as Lazar is (or not)
Be a man and accept the results
No one wins 60 to 40 with “bullying” or “legal corruption”. An argument like this is pure chassidisha ignorance, Which is why Lazar never made such claims and shook his hand: cause Lazar isn’t ignorant.
It’s fine to roo for Lazar, but to become all 3 year old baleidikt that he lost is rediculous.
Read my lips: THIS WAS AS TYPICAL AS A GOOD OLD AMERICAN ELECTORAL RACE COULD GET.
All u ignoramouses just realized that Lazar was never the front runner outside Hikind’s office (who by the way just witnessed the beginning of the end of his longstanding influence)

Big win for Munkatch .
We are very happy with it cause he is a young mAn with fresh energe !
Wow amazing now I wonder what r dov’s reaction will be
