The perp, a 30-year-old white man, approached the victims, a 38-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery and hit the male with a shovel, took their money, and then fled the scene westbound. He ran across the Van Wyck Expressway and climbed a fence, jumping into a lake on the other side.
NYPD Aviation unit spotted the suspect hiding among some weeds in the lake, and he was arrested. The male victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The suspect was treated at Booth Memorial Hospital. Charges against the suspect are pending.

Instead of him getting treated at a hospital, too bad the victims couldn’t use the injured attacker’s shovel and just BURY him, preferably alive.
