Gingrich is telling his supporters in Birmingham, Ala., that he will continue on to the Republican National Convention this summer.

His campaign had placed a premium on winning Tuesday’s primaries in Alabama and Mississippi. But rival Rick Santorum has won both.

Gingrich says that rival Mitt Romney’s case for being the inevitable nominee has been crippled by his failure to win the two Deep South contests.

Gingrich says his campaign’s major issue of lower gas prices has resonated with Americans and has put pressure on the White House for cheaper energy. The former House speaker insists he is the best candidate to beat President Barack Obama in the general election.

Gingrich has no chance of winning and he knows it, just he is enjoying it while it lasts – being in the spotlight and having the media around him not to mention his new secret service detail around him. Who would give it up so fast?

Newt Gingrich is the only Republican candidate who can intelligently debate and beat Obama.

With Newt’s experience, his unequaled knowledge of history and today’s issues, and with his principled direction he can fend off a “buyout” from Romney, a temporary surge from Santorum, or the confusion of Ron Paul.
    .
Unfortunately, the general voting public likes to “vote for a winner” when they should vote for the candidate who identifies best with their most important issues.

The major media is liberal and wants to see Obama reelected. They’re touting the weakest and most liberal Republican of the remaining 4 candidates so that he, Romney, will be easy pray for Obama.

The best way to find out what a candidte really stands for is to go to his official website. For Newt Gingrich go to: http://www.newt.org

It has been postulated that the only reason Gingrich is still in the race is because his billionaire wants to derail Santorum. Adelson has publicly stated that he supports Gingrich, would be happy with Romney, but dislikes Santorum. If Gingrich pulls out now, Santorum starts beating Romney by enormous margins. Interesting theory.

    Cooler Mind:
“his principled direction” includes being a serial adulterer, getting over $1M from Freddie Mac as a lobbyist after trashing them for years (a bit hypocritical), and his leadership of the Gov’t shutdown (which he attributed to being made to ride in the back of Air Force 1).
