The counterterrorism official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation, says the suspected shooter, Mohamed Merah, had been on the no-fly list since 2010.
The U.S. no-fly list includes thousands of known or suspected terrorists. Most of the people on the list are foreign.
Merah was killed Thursday after a 32-hour standoff with French authorities.
The seven slayings, carried out in three motorcycle shooting attacks, are believed to be the first killings inspired by Islamic radical motives in France since the September 2001 attacks on the United States.
How many more of these Mohammed Merah ticking time bombs are here already in the USA?
The question is how many more no-fly-listers are there — free to kill and maim as they please in the cities / countries that coddle them and allow them the freedom to erupt at their evil urges?
Heaven help us all. Only He can…
Can we reopen Guantanamo and keep all these idiots there?
If he was on the US no fly list you would think the Government of France knew about him and would keep a close eye on him, which they obviously didn’t. The question is whether this terrible incident could have been avoided?
He should have been on the no-life list…
NYPD, continue to target our enemies…young 20 something male MUSLIMS.
No Fly List. What does that mean? He didn’t have to fly to kill seven people.
