John Bowles, 55, said he sought to help his “fellow Americans… practice their constitutional rights,” and to use lobbying to convey the American Nazi Party’s agenda to “elected officials in congress.”

Bowles said he would not pursue US congressmen aggressively, saying he would instead use a “very careful and objective approach.”

Topping his list of priorities are civil rights, healthcare and immigration, The Hill reported. He said he does not plan on focusing racial issues or using “racial slurs,” but would rather stick to facts.

Bowles said one of his goals is to make it easier to get ANP candidates on the ballot, and to familiarize US lawmakers with the party.

“If they don’t hold my politics against me, I won’t hold anything against them,” ABC quoted Bowles as saying.

This is great that it’s coming out now just on time for Presidential politics to take sides on the issue.

Scary thing is, if some day one of these whacko’s musters up some charisma and wins a popular vote, we could start finding these goons in public office. Never again?

For the life of me, I do not understand why the United States of America – for all the provisions guaranteeing free speech in its constitution – can not take a leaf from the Federal Republic of Germany, the birthplace of Nazidom, and _ban_ the so-called American Nazi Party.

To poster #1 : What are you, five years old? This will have absolutely no impact on the presidential campaign. No one pays any attention to an oddball like this. And don’t trot out the tired old alarm that the Nazis in Germany started out small. Anyone who takes that line of argument knows nothing about the history and cultural realities of either Germany or the U.S.

The first US Rep or Senator who meets this guy will be voted out of office. Who is he going to meet? Under what circumstances would ANYONE take his calls?

The only people he represents have already made up their minds about who they’re voting for, and if anyone has any doubt, the Nazis are all voting for Ron Paul, at least in the primaries. But even Paul has the brains to stay away from this lobbyist.

I wonder where the American Jews will be escaping to once anti-semitism begins to sprout in congress. Anti-senitism sell easy and spreads like wildfire? Many will choose Israel but those who are die-hard anti-Israel I wonder which country will except them with open arms?

I thought we beat the nazis in a war that killed millions. Now we are letting them get a lobbyist? Is that absurd or what?
