Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon says he has sent a letter to the IOC. He wants the London Olympics to open with a minute’s silence honoring the 11 Israeli athletes and coaches killed by Palestinian terrorists 40 years ago.

Ayalon writes that it is important to “remain vigilant against acts of hate and intolerance that stand in contrast to the ideals of the international Olympics.”

Olympic Committee of Israel secretary general Efraim Zinger says the IOC has ignored his request to hold an official memorial at the games, as it has in previous years. He says the delegation will observe a private ceremony

Are you kidding? The IOC are a bunch of people siding with the muslims until death.
Will never happen. Don’t waste your time and certainly don’t support the IOC.

The entire “rescue” operation was botched by the West German authorities from start to finish. They should have attacked the terrorists at the Olympic village, when they had the chance; however, they let them proceed to the airport. There, the West Germans did not have enough trained snipers; they would not let the Israelis handle the rescue operation. Prior to that horrible incident, Rabbi Meir Kahane (z’l), wrote an opinion in the Jewish Press, stating that EY should not send any of its olympic athletes to Germany. It appears that he was right. Also, based on the autopsies, it appears that not all of the Israelis were killed by the terrorists. Rather, they were killed by the West Germans, in the crossfire. The families of the deceased Israelis sued, and the case dragged on for over thirty years, until there was a settlement!

Remember also how the chayos who murdered the athletes Hy”d were freed.

Some time after the killings there was a highjacking in Germany and the government traded the chayos to get the plane and its passengers back.

Later it was discovered it was all baloney and staged by West Germany to get the chayos out of their country. They didn’t want to have the chayos there and have to deal with terrorist threats and negotiations.
