The Ohio Republican said Thursday Obama is “wasting time on a fake fight” with lawmakers over student loans while ignoring major issues like jobs and the economy.

He says Obama’s trips this week — to three big universities in swing states — are campaign stops and that the Obama campaign should reimburse taxpayers for the trips.

Boehner says trying to make efforts to prevent an increase in student loan interest rates a campaign issue is “pathetic” and that “the emperor has no clothes.”

It is not a fake fight if you are a working person who needs to take out loans so your kids can be educated. It is not a fake fight when the Republican’s propose a budget (the Ryan plan, endorsed by Boehner and Romney, who called it marvelous), that cuts financial aid. These are loans, so they do not add to the deficit; it is just a matter of how much money (interest rate) they will make for the lender. My family, like many of yours, came to this country poor, but we were able to get good educations because there were low cost colleges and student loans. Now, the Republicans want to slash education funds and increase student debt. If we are given the choice of burdening our children with massive debt so they can get an education, or their not being able to afford one at all, this is an economic issue that hurts the U.S. I do not understand what has happened to the Republican party. It once supported the ability for a person to pull himself up through hard work. It seems now that all they want to do is give everything to the wealthy, and kick everyone else off the ladder.

Mr. Boehner simply means that the issue of student loan interest rates is being used as a disguise to cover the really vital issues. The problems we all face are that the entire economy is very weak, oil is far too high, unemployment is horrendous, the morale of the average citizen is way down, the military size is way down, I know VERY few people who have money these days, and the old black and white racial problems are returning. Trying to hide all of that with loud talk about student loan rates is like arguing with the janitor about a crack in one of your windows in your apartment while totally ignoring that the apartment building is about to collapse.
P.S. Romney said yesterday that he also wants to keep student loan rates low, so don’t worry about getting that deal, but do worry if you have been trapped in this student loan discussion while being drawn away from Mr. Obama’s incompetence.

B”H Those smacking their lips over Obama being this not or another idea of clothing racial hatred in dilectics – should consider the following verities. The freedom and liberties enjoyed by the Jewish communities and citzens of USA are only a kol v’chomer from Racial Equality movements. The Mormon Bishop considered a threat to the US Christains should set off alarms of the fight against his kind waged by the Lev Simcha, zecher tzadik liv’racha and over which he sacrificed his neurological health. No earnest Jewish individual can overcome the truth of that logic as it pertains ot each of us individually.

I fear that Romney will get in and mess up, meaning another Obama type in 2016 and 2020. Let Obama get in again so everyone will get fed up with him and America will return to its real free-market moorings.

I also fear, though, that America will soon be to the Asian powers, particularly China, what the state of Israel is to America – a de facto vassal state. Such is the march of history, and America has had a great, but overly fast, run to the top. It looks like the wheel is about to turn toward Asia in any event.

Truth be told; the efforts of Jewish people to preserve the integrity of advoiding conflict with the Mormons should alarm them to the Presidential candidate who affronts the Jewish view on keeping our people distant from the influence that weakens our faith in the One G-d. Furthermore, the idea of racial equality includes the Jewish people who took up the cause of integration when they were prevented access to democratic institution becasue of discrimation against us – yes, this is an imperative of politics and the wise shall heed its implications.

While there are arguments to be made about student loans being backed by the government and how it affects “free market” education, this is a stupid issue for Boehner to jump on.

Hundreds of thousands of families are struggling to put their kids through college. That includes both democrats, republicans, socialists, Conservatives, libertarians, etc. Many families really have to struggle to help their kids build a better future for themselves. Tuition interest rates are a big deal to them. Why alienate all of those people?

It just goes to show that the Republican Party is a train-wreck. There is no cohesive messaging and no consensus on platform. They already abandoned all Conservative principles in favor of “quote of the day” media blitzes and shameful propaganda.

They should be hitting Obama on Obamacare, but they can’t because it is (almost exactly) Romneycare!

That’s what happens when your party is a mess and doesn’t know what it stands for. That’s what happens when you let dummies and imbeciles (Palin, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich) control your message… you become part of the joke.

We need a REAL Conservative revolution in this country… NOW!
