The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s letter follows a police complaint filed last week by a rabbi who said he was sworn at for being a Jew by a soccer fan who then raised his arm in the Hitler salute. The incident occurred ahead of a football match between Austria’s SK Rapid and Greece’s PAOK Saloniki.

The complaint says that instead of detaining the man, one of the officers smiled and said, “Come on, it’s a football game!”

The Jewish organization’s letter says that through his actions, the police officer turned into an “accomplice to the perpetrator.”

Interior Ministry and police officials said Monday that the case was being investigated.

No Jew who cares about what happened in WWII to Jews would live in Vienna. The city of Eichmann and Morzinpaltz

To the Jews remaning in Austria, Hungary, Germany, and Poland:

    Stop your whining and complaining.

You have the opportunity the lands soaked with Jewish blood; you have decided to ignore thousands of years of history.

You made your beds, now sleep in them.

Sounds like the current crop of Austrian police are no better than their grandparents were.

To all these left wing liberal, so called Jewish advocacy groups. instead of crying foul over some isolated incidents in Austria, home to a tiny Jewish community, you should protest the behavior of the Obama administration that has now openly told Iran that it will not support any Israeli attack on it. Israel today is home to 6M. Jews and Obama is throwing it again under the bus.
Oh, but I forgot., your allegiance is first and for most to your democratic master, mr Obama and you will never utter a word of criticism against him. So go ahead, protest antisemitism in Austria, Albania, New Zealand and other “major” Jewish communities.

VIenna is a wonderful city with great and developped jewish community. Such (or much worse) incident may happen everywhere else in Europe, especially in the historically less antisemitic countries like Greece, France or Sweden.
Currently Ausria is more secure ( basically and for jews) than most of the US or Israel.
The police should do their job properly and we should do our job.
