Iranian state TV on Thursday quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as calling the Israeli bombardment of Gaza “organized terrorism.”
Mehmanparast also said the silence of international organizations regarding Israel’s actions has encouraged the Jewish state to pursue more aggressive policies. He urged other countries to cut ties with Israel as a punitive measure.
Israel launched its military operation Wednesday with the assassination of Hamas’ top military commander in Gaza. It then pounded the seaside strip with a series of strikes from warplanes, tanks and naval gunboats. Israel warned that it could widen the offensive to include a ground attack.
Iran is a close ally of Gaza’s Hamas rulers. Neither Hamas nor Iran recognizes Israel.
I’m shocked!!
uh oh, now they have done it iran has condemned the attack on gaza,
hey idiot, why don’t you condemn the attack on israel
No surprises here. I am only bothered that there is any space in the media given to quote what this idiot said. He says this all the time, and this is not really newsworthy. Why give him a voice?
Funny, they didn’t condemn the constant rockets flying into Israel recently.
Why is this even newsworthy?
Who are these arms suppliers namely Iran, to condemn anybody? Why don’t they look in the mirror for a change or tape their conversation and play it back just for themselves!! What NERVE!! Chutzpa!!
