Lyon, France – French President Francois Hollande said on Tuesday he did not want to start imposing sanctions on Israel after it announced plans to expand settlement building in occupied territories.

“We don’t want to shift into sanctions mode,” Hollande said at a news conference with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti. “We are more focused on convincing.”

France in an important European country. One may disagree or even infuriated with their politics particularly towards Israel (I happen to be in that group) but it does have relevance.
Amazing how when it comes to countries who have clearly violated every moral and humane code of the book, sanctions are never ever in the discussion, nor does anyone say a thing…go figure.One thing we know, where France stands, it is only a matter of time when France will no longer be France.
