Gaza – Report: Islamic Jihad Gaza Visit Cancelled After Threats

EPAGaza – The Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, Ramadan Shalah, was due to arrive in the Gaza Strip on Friday from Egypt to mark Hamas’s 25th anniversary, according to Palestinian news agency Ma’an, however is considering cancelling the visit after alleged threats to his safety from Israel.

    According to the report by Ma’an, Shalah is in talks with Egypt regarding his security concerns over visiting the Gaza Strip.

    Shalah and his deputy Ziad Nakhaleh were booked to lead an Islamic Jihad delegation to Gaza, Ma’an reported.
