Yesterday will be on the record of the most tragic day.
First the harsh sentence of Weberman then the 15 year old girl of flatbush and third, this tragic accidend.
Hamokom yenachem eschem.
Mrs. Lapides was a very special woman. She was the secretary at Yeshiva Bais Dovid for many years.

All those who cried bitterly over the sentence of Bernie Madoff are hereby permissioned to comment over the Weberman case. Why do we ignore one Jew over another?
BDE she was a very fine woman, she spent a number of years working as the Secty in Bais Dovid, the family should know no more tzar

As with age limits for politicians, time for age limits for drivers and pilots.
I wish the family much nechama. BTW, entrance ramps in Rockland County are very hard to see at night. It is very dangerous and should be remedied.
BDE may Hashem cosole and stregnthen the family.
In my community, there have been many accidents of drivers going the wrong way both in the daytime, and in the evening, on freeways. However, those drivers were of all ages, and were not necessarily senior citizens. Many highway entrances and exits are not properly marked to prevent these tragedies from occurring and reoccurring.
Someone ought to proofread these things better.
“G_d samaritan hospital”? Missing a letter there, I think.
I am B”H young amv”sh- and MANY OF THE HIGHWAYS ARE NOT CLEARLY MARKED!!! the sign wrong way- sometimes appears to be on the side that is the right way… whenever I get on to these ramps I am always worried whether I went on to the correct one.. I wonder why they built the entrance and exit so closely…
BD”E… May the family be comforted by HaShem!
I live in Monsey since 1976. Reading this article means that he got on the NYS Thruway at exit 14 in Nanuet at the entrance ramp to the south/eastbound NYS Thruway. He then proceeded to make a left turn or a U-turn on that ramp and drive up the Thruway in the southbound lanes. This is highly unlikely unless someone makes a really sharp left turn on that ramp. The ramp curves strongly to the right heading towards the PIP. He then drove 9 miles up? His wife didnt notice all the headlights coming straight at them? That section of the Thruway has cars on it 24/7! Only Hashem knows why and how this happened.
