Protesters told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/11Ndm6i ) at the Saturday rally that they did not support Dorner’s deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner’s claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department that he said led to the rampage.

Thirty-year-old protester Michael Nam held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription “RIP Habeas Corpus.” He and others said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner’s death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.

There will always be some unemployed bored individuals looking for action.
I’m supprosed, though, that El Sharpton hasn’t picked up on this and claim that it all happened only because of his color.

The LAPD was wrong to open fire indiscriminately on a van, being driven by two Hispanic women, who were shot and wounded, without warning. The LAPD has a policy prohibiting the firing of bullets at a moving vehicle. In this case, it violated its own policy, and injured two unfortunate ladies, who were merely delivering newspapers. Also, it fired at another truck, in error. The LAPD has been corrupt for decades. In addition to it being corrupt, it was totally incompetent in its response or lack thereof, regarding the Rodney King riots of 1992. LA burned, and LAX was closed, while the riots were taking place. Both the LAPD, and the California National Guard were useless and worthless in maintaining law and order, during the disorders. Both groups either hid in armories, or did nothing during the initial phases of the riots. The LAPD, as portrayed by Sgt. Joe Friday (Jack Webb), of TV’s “Dragnet”, was just a myth, created by television producers.
