ISRAELHAYOM (http://bit.ly/17GA3td) is reporting that, in the same recording, Rabbi Yosef said Netanyahu told him he is “suffering” from Yesh Atid’s Yair Lapid and Habayit Hayehudi’s Naftali Bennett.

The tape, which was broadcast on Army Radio on Wednesday, drew a quick response from Netanyahu’s office denying he made such statements.

During the broadcast Rabbi Yosef also referred to Yair Lapid as “Asmodai,”—a demonic figure in rabbinic literature.

Yosef alleges Netanyahu made the statements during a Tuesday evening visit to pay his condolences over the death of Yosef’s son who died last week.

Jewish leaders throughout the generations have defended Am Yisrael before all sorts of enemies. Some have even defended a less than worthy people before the Al-mighty himself. And here we have a leader who continually stoops to name calling other Jews. I’d be surprised if ANYONE wants Shas at this point.

Its unfortunate that Rav Yosef would lie about somthing that could be easily checked and Netanyahu quickly confirmed that the Rav’s statement was untrue. It seems like Shas and its supporters still haven’t gotten over the fact that they LOST and election. Its unbecoming of a great rav to tell untruths in a last ditch effort to regain political power.

I know I’m not allowed to question him, buy assuming Bibi did say this, why is ROY repeating this to anyone? It forces Bibi to deny it.

Please be careful of how you refer to, and what you say about Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. You do not want to start up with him.

What do you think that Rav Yosef in this Matzov after losing a son is simply Lying??
No doubt that Bibi is the one who is saying untrue, He never had in mind to take Shas back he lied when he told this for Rav Yosef and lied when he denied.

Perhaps G-d sent Lapid for a reason. He wants to educate haredi Jews in secular subjects. Given that now 1/4 of all Israeli 1st graders are in Haredi schools, it won’t be long before Haredim are a plurality or majority of the population. Then they’ll need the skills to keep the country going and maintain its infrastructure. I doubt they can do it with the education they have now.
