Biden met for two-and-a-half hours with leaders from various faith communities. Participants emerged from the meeting encouraged that the Obama administration isn’t giving up the fight even though efforts in the Senate so far have failed.

But round two on gun control may have to wait. Participants say it was clear from the meeting that another vote won’t take place until after Congress finishes work on an immigration overhaul.

Participants say some clergy who represent evangelical and conservative communities had reservations about the legislation, especially about expanded background checks. But they say Biden and his aides reassured them the legislation isn’t overly broad.

what a maroon that clown Biden is…why isn’t the big-shot going into the radical mosques and preaching his idiocy to those who need it. I am sure that Joe will get a standing ovation and a promise to pass on his message at every reform, liberal, reconstruction temple……..Frum shuls…..not so much.

Whatever happened to the whole Separation of Church and State thing that liberals are so fond of? They’d be screaming if a Republican called on houses of worship to give anti-gay marriage or anti-abortion messages. Such hypocrites!

Much like the circus theater at airports, orchestrated by TSA, where it is much more important to have the PERCEPTION of safety rather than actual safety, so too with guns. Very important to ban and restrict guns that look frightening, rather than dealing with the perps that have guns, and will have them when regular people are disarmed.

There is no moral argument that can be made against gun ownership.

Why not cynically parade around some Holocaust survivors at a synagogue and have them explain how surrendering their firearms was for the common good.

    Mr Veep,

This is part of my drosha.

Rabosi, if you want to know what the democrat party stands for, it is very easy. All you have to do is look in the heyliga Torah. Where ever in Parshas Achray Mos & Kedoshim it says “DON’T,” the democrats hold “DO!!!” The modern democrat party is simply said, shtufay zima. There is NO reason anyone claiming to be a shomer torah u’mitzvos should support ANY democrat. …..

If Biden wants to have rabbeim talk about banning guns, perhaps he should review the Ramban on Neshei Lemech in sedra Bereishis where he argued that Cain killed Hevel with his bare hands and not knives and swords that Lemech made. Murder can be committed by anyone, so banning the implement or blaming the maker of the gun/knife is incorrect.

THE ONLY moral argument is FOR gun ownership. Period. End of Story. No ifs, ands or buts.
It is moral to help your family. It is moral to protect humanity. It is moral to be able to ensure the safety of those around you. “Al Taamode Al Dam Reyecha”- especially when you could have stopped the bloodshed to begin with.

it is immoral to say that only criminals can have guns because they aren’t buying their guns legally (and therefore will not have to be limited by the government’s rules).

Isn’t it funny for a liberal to use the word “morality.” They don’t want to hear that word in connection to gay marriage, abortion on demand, etc.

So glad that most of the posters on this site agree that it is the absolute moral right of every jihadi terrorist to acquire as many assault weapons and ammo as he wishes, since that is the current law and NRA position. After all, it would be immoral to require a background check of someone on the terrorist watch list.
