The NEW YORK TIMES (http://nyti.ms/1bSEdBM) reports that, in making the announcement, George said, “Brooklyn can’t afford another four years of Joe Hynes, and I had to realize that in order to defeat Joe Hynes I must put Brooklyn ahead of my own ambitions.”

Urging his supporters to back Thompson, George said, “Today I am urging all of my supporters to back Ken Thompson for district attorney because together we can begin to clean up the mess Joe Hynes has created in Brooklyn.”

In hearing the news, an excited Ken Thompson said, “Now we are united with the common goal of restoring integrity and justice to the Brooklyn district attorney’s office, which for too long has failed to deliver.”

Late Thursday, Thompson filed an “aggrieved candidate petition” in Brooklyn Civil Court which, at this late date, will allow for the removal of George’s name from the ballot.

A judge will decide on the matter on Monday.

In reaction to both Geroge’s exit and Thompson’s legal request for a name removal, Hynes spokesman George Arzt said, “What did Thompson promise George to drop out? This is Tammany-style backroom dealing at its worst. It doesn’t pass the smell test.”

Tnx VIN for this good news, now hynes will loose big time in the votes, enough with him, putting innocent people in jail w/o witnesses w/o video w/o DNA like david ranto, collins, weberman,

I for one still strongly support Hynes. It’s a tough job and the DA can’t please all the people all the time. I’ve worked with his staff over the years and they exhibit sincere loyalty to him.

It is chutzpah for Hynes’ spokesperson to accuse Thompson and George of “backroom dealing.” He does back room deals so often that he should buy himself a shtender in the back of UJO to store his shpitz satin yamulke.

Joe Hynes, cooked up the prosecution of Kellner to protect a so-called chazan who travels a lot, and that is the real shanda.

The other shanda is that Gabbai who screams mesirah more often than people say yehay shmei rabbah at a minyan factory, gave false testimony to indict Kellner. Din echad is not something M Gabbai believes in.

Boruch hashem, R. Nuchem, the Jewish Week, the New York Times, Dov Hikind, DA candidate Kenneth Thompson and two Irish lawyers are all exposing the injustice in this case and will be matzliach in getting Reb Kellner to birchas hagomel.

Im yirtzah hashem, Joe Hynes will lose in the primary election on Sept. 10th, especially now that there is only one opposing candidate.

That will be a day that tziyonim and anti-tziyonim can both agree deserves a brochoh, boruch shepatrani.

I’m voting for anyone but Hynes. I also know his staff & I wish I didn’t.
