As reported by The Times of Israel (http://bit.ly/Js3MxK) Master Sgt. Shlomi Cohen, 31, was buried in Haifa. Cohen is survived by his wife and their 11-month-old daughter.

Holding back his tears in interviews, Cohen’s father, Yossi, called him “a golden child… an angel… beloved by everyone.”

Two bullets shot from the Lebanese side of the border hit Cohen in the chest and neck in the attack on Sunday night, causing him to lose control of his vehicle.

The Lebanese serviceman who killed Cohen turned himself into authorities Monday morning in Lebanon.

DF officials were scheduled to meet with UN personnel and Lebanese Army officers Monday afternoon to request an explanation from the Lebanese army about whether the serviceman acted alone and what the Lebanese army will do to prevent future incidents.

Israeli, Lebanese and U.N. military officers will meet on Monday to defuse tension after a "rogue" Lebanese soldier shot dead an Israeli soldier the day before, Israel's defence minister said. BDE. Died protecting Am Yisrael. More than I can say for all those useless bums who have nothing to do but demonstrate, including their “leaders”. To me, this soldier is a bigger “gadol” than any of the rabbonim who despise the state.
