Graham was critical of Trump’s recent derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants and calls the issue a “defining moment” for Republicans. He says on CNN’s “State of the Union” that if the GOP doesn’t reject Trump’s views, “we will have lost our way.”
In a weekend appearance in Phoenix that drew thousands, Trump repeated his assertions that Mexico was sending violent offenders to the U.S. to harm Americans.
Trump’s words are worrisome to Republicans, who fear the outspoken businessman is hurting the party’s standing with the nation’s surging Latino population before voting begins in the 2016 presidential primaries.
As a long-time conservative who therefore usually voted republican, I can say that the GOP us “wrecked” already. We have a one party system, thanks to RINO’s (Republicans In Name Only) like Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Like King Obama, Trump has narcissistic tendencies, but he is a successful businessman unlike our King. He is exactly what we need to right the sinking ship called The King Obama.
President Donald Trump. I love it!!
YES, let him wreck the republican hold on washington and take down the democrat machine with it.
The GOP has destroyed itself with its extremist agenda. The entire reason Trump is so popular is that the GOP base has moved so far to the right that it would consider Eisenhower and Reagan to be liberals. The rest of the country wants nothing to do with this madness. Poll over poll has shown that the vast majority of U.S. citizens do not support the right-wing GOP agenda. The current COP is dominated by elderly white males and it is only the vast amounts of money contributed by the wealthy and by multinational corporations and the extreme gerrymandering of Congressional districts that have kept the GOP competitive with the Democrats. Those of you living in the conservative media bubble are so completely out of touch with reality that it is not funny. The GOP has offended Latinos, women, the middle class, African Americans and the young. This is a business model doomed to failure.
