At an Iowa GOP forum Saturday, Trump dismissed Arizona Sen. John McCain’s reputation as a war hero, saying McCain was merely captured in Vietnam and “I like people who weren’t captured.”

That’s caused an uproar. But Trump isn’t repentant.

On ABC’s “This Week,” Trump insists: “I will say what I want to say.”

And in a statement, Trump says he has a strong record of supporting veterans and politicians such as McCain have failed veterans.

Trump shook up the race weeks ago when he branded immigrants from Mexico as rapists and drug dealers.

Several GOP rivals have upbraided him for his remarks on McCain.

Jeb Bush says of Trump: “Enough with the slanderous attacks.”

    Jeb Bush obeys Hillary.

    Hillary obeys Obama.

Obama obeys Jeremiah Write, Bill Aires, Osama bin Laden et al.

Trump says it the way it is.

I agree with Trump 100% on this issue. He can & will say anything that is rattling around in his cavernous skull.
We can & should ignore his ignorant blustering & buffoonery.

Watch the video, Trump said “he’s a war hero because he was captured.” That is 100% factual. I challenge anyone here to listen one thing McShame did in combat that would qualify him to be a war hero. Don’t go on about how he wanted to stay in the Hanoi Hilton with his comrades, that is actually the opposite because he should’ve accepted his release and gone back to fight. Of course the rumor is that he was facing a dishonorable discharge after giving the Vietcong military information.
He graduated 5th from the bottom of his 900 member graduating class, and received over 100 demerits each year at the Naval Academy.
He nearly burnt down the USS Forrestal by wet starting his engines. Later covered up by his Admiral father. He was the only member if the Forrestal transferred days after the fire. Unproven rumors were that the crew wanted to kill him for the fire that claimed over 100 servicemen’s lives.
He gave up the name of his intended target while in the hospital after being shot down, violating Military Code. He made over 30 tapes for the Vietcong negative to the US war effort, including saying that we were bombing civilian targets only.

While I think McCain’s military service should not be impugned, he nevertheless deserves a good tongue lashing and I’m glad it came from Trump. McCain’s military service should not immunize him from criticism, especially when his comments are more hurtful and damaging to the party’s than those of Donald Trump.

When McCain dumps on people who support Trump’s common sense immigration stance and labels them ‘crazies’ he is effectively insulting reasonable minded GOPers and many of his own constituents; all in hopes of appearing ‘moderate’ (a maverick !…how’s that workin’ out for ya’)?. He has done the same thing to Mitt Romney and Huckabee in 2008, and to Rand Paul and Ted Cruz in 2012 and 2013.

It’s fine to disagree but don’t dump on your constituents or your party.

It’s time for John McCain to retire.

Jeb Bush will not effectively debate Hillary. Recall that Jeb Bush awarded Hillary The ‘Liberty Medal’ in September 2013..That’s right a year after Benghazi !

    look it up.

You want a president who will say whatever is on his mind regarding other heads of state? No diplomacy in this world? Bist meshugah?
Imagine him bad-mouthing Putin, or any other world leader. This will lead to peace?
    Bist meshugah, I repeat !

Amazing how the liberal media focuses on the nonsense when they have any opportunity to bash a republican hopeful. But when it comes to Hilary’s dishonesty, her hidden emails, Benghazi, etc., and the disastrous obama’s ruining our great country, they’re almost silent.
