Speaking Monday at the International Institute for Counterterrorism’s annual conference in the coastal city of Herzliya, Dagan said: “The problem is Iran, not President Obama.”

Dagan has been a fierce critic of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-line policies regarding Iran. He vocally opposed the prospect of an Israeli military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities that Netanyahu is said to have supported.

Dagan said Israel made a “strategic decision” to adopt a policy against the United States and “it is time to end it.”

Dagan is a retired military general who headed Israel’s secretive Mossad agency from 2002-2011.

“The problem is Iran, not President Obama.”

While it is very fashionable for many posters on VIN to criticize President Obama and the Iran agreement by saying that all Israelis are against it, from the words of a retired military general and a former head of Mossad, who knows a lot more about this situation than many emotionally charged local vocal yokels ever could, we plainly see that there are prominent Israelis who agree with the agreement. Yes, there are many posters here who hate President Obama- that’s no secret. But, their dislike of the man should not confuse the issues involving the Iran agreement as Dagan so succinctly puts it.

I’m at a loss to understand what Obama and company are doing with the fact that as soon as we free up $150B, Iran is going to give maaser to Hezbollah

It’s nothing new that very talented experienced military people make give mistakes sometimes when they mix into politics. Ariel Sharon a’h with gaza is the best example.

    “And…..whoever doesn’t agree with you…..is making a mistake…..right?”

Where in my post did I make such a statement? Where? All I did was refer to someone who knows a thousand times more than you or any of the other posters (including me) on this site about the issues involved. Of course, your pathological hatred of the President leads you to disagree with everything he does without considering what people who are experts say, to the point where a reprobate such as Poster #2 refers to Dagan as an idiot (to which you undoubtedly agree). Your only criteria is being against the President and not what is truly rational. Whether the Iran Agreement is the right thing or not, should not be decided by uninformed and unqualified opinions such as yours.
