You will find many street closures and detours because of the marathon on Sunday.
Heavy traffic is expected throughout the city all day. Mass transit is strongly recommended.
Truck traffic will be detoured off the westbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway at the Hamilton Avenue exit.

In addition, there is no parking on Central Park West from 59th Street to 79th Street.

if you get tired in middle of the marathon gan you stop running
How can one go from Lakewood to Brooklyn tom?? Anyone know?
cant they just run in circles at a football field?
we canjust give the prizes to the kenyan folks who win every year.
give up the car.
Pritzus!! Why must we be exposed to so many scantily clad goyim?
It’s crazy to deny access to Brooklyn from N.J. (via Staten Island and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge)for such nonsense as a marathon. They can have a marathon somewhere else where they won’t be inconveniencing so many people.
“Moshie Says:
“ Pritzus!! Why must we be exposed to so many scantily clad goyim? ”
Er, could it be because even here in the NY Metro area, one of the world’s largest Jewish communities, we are still only a small minority and do not have the power to impose Moshe’s standards on everybody else?
Besides, this run seems to come nowhere near any frum communities like BP, Willy, Flatbush, CH, etc.
If you don’t want to see the “scantily clad goyim,” DON’T LOOK.
I am planing to leave monsey at 4:30pm going to willamsburg will i have any Street Closures on my way???
