Jerusalem – Israeli Rabbi: Paris Attacks Are Payback To Europeans For What They Did To Jews At The Holocaust

    62

FIEL - Kiryat Arba's Chief Rabbi Dov Lior at the West Bank settlement of Migron.on Thursday, July 21 2011. Flash90Jerusalem – A religious Zionist cleric from a Jewish settlement on the West Bank told mourners on Saturday during the funeral of an Israeli father and son gunned down by Palestinian terrorists that the attacks in Paris were deserved due to what Europeans “did to our people 70 years ago.”

The quote from Dov Lior, the chief rabbi of the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba, was first reported by the Walla! news agency.

“The wicked ones in blood-soaked Europe deserve it for what they did to our people 70 years ago,” Lior said.

The controversial rabbi once wrote an approbation for a book called The King’s Torah that was co-written in 2009 by radical settler figure Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, which permitted killing civilian non-Jews in times of war.

He was summoned by police for questioning on grounds of incitement to violence but refused to report for questioning, saying the Torah was not open to police investigation. He was subsequently arrested and brought for questioning but no charges were made.

Last year, Lior published a letter saying that Jewish law permits destroying the entire Gaza Strip to bring peace to the south of the country.

Lior said that he had received questions about whether Jewish law permits harming a civilian population not directly involved with the combatants.

He first cited the opinion of the Maharal of Prague, a renowned 16th-century rabbi, who wrote that a nation under attack can wage a fierce war against the assaulting nation, and that it is not obligated regarding the safety of people who are personally involved in hostilities.

“At a time of war, the nation under attack is allowed to punish the enemy population with measures it finds suitable, such as blocking supplies or electricity, as well as shelling the entire area according to the army minister’s judgment, and not to needlessly endanger soldiers but rather to take crushing deterring steps to exterminate the enemy,” Lior wrote.

Addressing the hostilities with Hamas, the rabbi continued to say that “in the case of Gaza, it would be permitted for the defense minister to even order the destruction of all of Gaza so that the South will no longer suffer and to prevent injury to our people, who have been suffering for so long from the enemies surrounding us.”

“Talk of humanitarianism and consideration are nothing when weighed against saving our brothers in the South and across the country and the restoration of quiet to our land,” he said.

Can everyone please keep their opinions and stomach viruses to themselves? #LordHaveMercy

Refuting this bizarre and illogical proclamations is beneath me. However, just one fact needs to be highlighted. Look at what Zionist fringe groups are liable to do, disregarding their religious affiliation. In time of tragedy, this alleged Rabbi is busy himself in pointing blame fingers at a nations that is under attack, under a guise of Jewishness which should be translated as a promotion of Zionist Nationality. If he really wants to learn from History, he would be aware of the Zionists acrimonious actions at the time of the second world war. And also, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if relocates from the West Bank & stop risking the lives of innocent sheep that live there, out of their fierce ‘loyalty’ to something that they don’t understand too….

I do not support the timing/venue of the Rabbi’s remarks. That said, France has not behaved in an exemplary manner towards Israel or world Jewry.

The Rabbi is at least right about the need to flatten Gaza, It is an endless shelling ground against Israel, with ISIS cells spread all around, The intelligence Israel passed to the French on the identity of the attackers, came from there, If the French weren’t living in trepidation over the swelling Arab population in their midst, they would have probably loved to embark on a joint military operation with Israel, against Gaza,

Unfortunately, more people will believe him than not. If the residents of New Square were allowed to watch TV or read a secular newspaper, they would certainly listen to this idiot.

This guy is a plain idiot, and I challenge his right to the title “rabbi”. He has no idea of what Hashem’s cheshbonos were. It is close to apikursus to make such claims. He should be ashamed of himself. How dare he play G-d!

Too bad Lior has not been neutralized by either security forces because his words and actions will result in more Jewish blood being spilled than most of the recent terrorist attacks.

I guess I’m the lone voice who thinks he has a point. Destroy Gaza. And yes, it IS ironic that the pandering-to-the-muslim-racist-murderers French are targeted for this attack. Do I have pity for the victims & their families? Yes. Some. But MY pity is saved in much greater measure for all of us in Israel, for whom terror attacks are daily. Rav Litman & his son HY”D and their devastated family deserve our collective & individual mourning.

Rav Lior is an esteemed talmid chacham, and unlike many Jews today, his heart in wholeheartedly devoted to Klal Yisrael. All the European countries joined together to murder 6 million Jews. They have not changed. Today, they continue to try to destroy the Jewish nation by politically and financially supporting all the terrorist groups trying to destroy Israel (including Hamas) Rav Lior did not say that he is happy that people died. He said that Hashem repays all evil and that no one can escape, even though it takes a long time. He is saying that the Holocaust happened 70 years ago on Europe’s blood drenched soil. Since then, the Europeans seem to have prospered. But Hashem never forgets, and eventually, no matter how long it takes, Hashem will avenge the blood of every one of the six million kedoshim of the Holocaust. It is finally happening, as Europe mindlessly opens its gates to an infiltration of hundreds of thousands of barbaric Arabs. Europe, which loves the Arabs because Arabs hate Israel, will get what it deserves for its crimes against the Jewish people in the Shoah. We need more leaders like Rav Lior who truly cares about Klal Yisrael.

It’s not just Rabbi Lior. Many unnecessary statements like these are made all too often.

We know that Hashem punishes, Mida K’Neged Mida and that Europe will be punished for all the evil they did to us over the generations, but making statements on specific instances, true or not, serves no purpose.

If more Jews would have the mindset of this Rabbi in general and not only what he said about the French, terrorism would be contained.
The Europeans deserve far worse than what the french received.
129 killed that’s pittance to what they deserve.

If you read the news, you will understand that most of Europe wants to continue the job they failed to complete during the Holocaust, They tried to destroy the Jewish people, but with Hashem’s great mercy, the Jewish people survive and thrive. Now, they are trying to continuing the job of annihilating the Jewish people by helping Israel’s enemies to destroy the remnants of the Shoah. They support terrorist attacks in Israel by saying it is the Jews’ fault and they deserve to be murdered. Hashem runs the world, and He will act mida kneged mida on the Europeans who mass murdered in in World War Two, and who continue to make all efforts to destroy Israel today. Whenever a terrorist murders a Jew in Israel, European politicians and philosophers and the UN declare their support of the terrorists and blame the Jewish “occupiers”. Today, the Europeans, who openly collaborate with the Arab terrorists, are getting a small taste of their own medicine. The Arab hordes, who Europeans love so much, are taking over civilize Europe in huge waves. Will the Europeans continue to proclaim that the victims of Arab terror deserve to die when the Europeans are victims for a change and not Jews ? ,

This proves while every Rabbi is committed to his fellow Jews, not every Rabbi has common sense, knowledge, and a high intellect.
