Raqqa – The Russian air force on Wednesday conducted a ‘mass strike’ against Islamic State targets across Syria using long-range bombers and cruise missiles, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency.

He said targets in Syria’s Raqqa, Idlib, and Deir al-Zor provinces had been struck.
Russian warplanes conducted 127 sorties and hit 206 targets, a source in the Russian defense ministry told RT.
As Russia’s campaign in Syria intensifies, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the United States for pursuing what he said was a contradictory and confusing policy in Syria.
In remarks in a Russian TV documentary shown Tuesday, Lavrov said that analysis of U.S. attacks on Islamic State militants in Syria over the past year indicates that the attacks are sparing the IS units that would pose the most threat to the Syrian army and Assad. The U.S. wants to see Assad removed from power.

Putin is a crude bully…but at least he’ll do to ISIS (in revenge for their downing of the Russian passenger jet) what Islamo-fascist sympathizer Obama will never do (for fear of upsetting his Muslim friends and their “religion of peace”). I never thought it would ever come to having to root for Putin. It’s distasteful…but tragically necessary…at least for the time being.
Any words from the U.N. about ‘excessive force’? or about ‘hitting innocent civilians in a city’? or ‘how could they hit hospitals’?
And you don’t think this is happening in the city/cities the Russians are targeting?
Not that I’m against it – actually I’m very for it. But all this double-standard when it comes to Israel is vomit-inducing.
