Police spokeswoman Luba Samri says police arrested a suspect in his 30s from the West Bank village of Beit Sira.

Samri says the assailant assaulted a supervisor and then attacked a worker at a neighboring construction site in the city of Modiin before he was overcome by other workers. She says one of the two victims appears to be Arab. Samri says the suspected assailant has a valid permit to enter Israel.

Since mid-September, Palestinians have killed 19 Israelis in stabbings, shootings and vehicular rammings. Israelis have killed at least 113 Palestinians in the same period, of whom 76 are said by Israel to be assailants.
