A judge on Friday granted a permanent injunction against Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing, known as JONAH.

In June, a Hudson County jury awarded damages to several men who had sued JONAH, claiming it engaged in fraud and made claims it couldn’t back up.

An attorney for the men Friday said the decision sends a message to providers of so-called gay conversion therapy that the practice is fraudulent.

An attorney who represented JONAH at the trial didn’t immediately return a message seeking comment. The group had argued that it didn’t make guarantees to clients and should be allowed to offer help to people struggling with their sexual orientation.

There is no legal basis for the judge’s order. I’m waiting to hear the rationale for this.

Yes homosexuality is a sin and yes, if you have those tendencies you should do whatever you can to conquer them. But trying to cure these people through medicine or psychology is not going to ever do the job, and if you have been cured by such treatment, please stay away from my daughter

Well in that case they should also shut down and ban any horoscope writer, future teller, palm reader, acupuncturist, holistic eastern medicine doctors, and all other type businesses that don’t line up with “mainstream science.” This is clearly not objective justice.

This “therapy” has caused countless suicides. Thank goodness, it is banned. Sexuality is genetic, no matter what the uneducated feel. Man and animals are gay. Get used to it.

Baruch hashem this sick organization is being shuttered – what an incredible chillul hashem it has been. Before you all go on about repressive governments interfering with religious prerogatives, read the detailed accounts of the groups quack “therapies” – group nudity, touching of private body parts, and it goes on. A truly sick enterprise that in no way had anything to do with the Torah, unless your view of the Torah is truly perverted.
