An undecided voter asked the candidates about their faith in Sunday night’s Democratic presidential debate in Flint, Michigan.

Sanders, asked if God is relevant, says all religions hold dear the premise that people should treat others like they want to be treated. He says “we are in this together.”

Clinton, asked whom she prays for, says she is a “praying person” and prays for people she knows and those going through tough times. She says “I need that strength and I need that support,” especially when her husband was president.

    Not so fast, there, Bernie.
If you’re an infidel, certain religions will want to kill you. Just sayin’.

At least Hillary has got a jewish son in law. All you have are non jewish descendants. If you were a proud Jew, you wouldn’t have left your people.

With what exactly are you, Sanders, proud to be a Jew? Do you put on Tefillin daily? Do you keep Shabbos? You don’t even have the decency to involve G-d in your life, like Hillary. And precisely because of this that I wouldn’t – and no Jew should – vote for you, because if you have no Heavenly fear, you have no fear from earthly beings and you would be unreliable as President. Regarding Israel, you’d probably show the most hatred, even worse than Obama, Hillary and Trump, to prove to the world that your Jewishness and your concern for your brethren is put on a back burner.

Did you hear everything he said? Just like others of his type talking about being Jewish is mainly talking about the Holocaust. Not Shabbos, not Mitzvos not even G-D. Just the Holocaust. What if there hadn’t been a Holocaust? What would be left to define his Jewishness?

We should all be kvelling that an Erliche Yid is finally competing for the Presidency of the United States. He has been endorsed by the chief rav of Burlington, Vermont who knows him well. While his hashkafah is clearly not that a frum Yid, he shows more compassion and honesty than any of the other candidates and should be applauded. He is also a mensch, which is more than I can say for Trump, Cruz, or Rubio he obviously are in race to the bottom of the slime pit.

I want to be sick. Lousy, lying hypocrites, both of them. G-d? They wouldn’t know faith if G-d Himself confronted them.

On one hand I’m fascinated that a Jewish candidate has gone this far in the American political process. On the other hand it’s a shame it had to be crazy Bernie.
On the plus side at least he has disavowed his heritage completely. On the negative his crazed politics won’t be good for Israel, no matter how much he announces his Jewishness.
I think frum people need to accept as a fact that one need not be perfectly Torah observant to still be a good person and a good Jew. Remember it isn’t anyone hear who will be the final judge, but higher authority will decide who was or wasn’t a good person and a good Jew.
