Tariq Michel and another unidentified individual approached a Chasidic man operating a forklift to move pallets outside of a warehouse at 617 Brooklyn Avenue and asked him for the time. After taking out his phone and telling the pair what time it was, the victim was punched in the face by a suspect who can been seen in surveillance video obtained by CrownHeights.info wearing a black hoodie and light colored pants and fleeing in the direction of Fenimore Street.
The victim jumped off the forklift and grabbed the second suspect, holding him until police arrived.
Police arrested Michel of 770 New York Avenue on charges of assault as a misdemeanor. Investigators who are still searching for the second suspect have yet to determine if the attack will be treated as a hate crime.
Looks to me like just another attack by Quakers or Amish !!! דמד
Poor attacker must have been hounded over the years to sell his house as it bears the 770 address. It’s not a hate crime. We must understand where he’s coming from…(sarcasm…!) 🙂
So much for the “peace”, which has existed in Crown Heights, since the 1991 pogrom. Yidden are not safe there.
