As previously reported on VIN News (http://goo.gl/EZ1fq3), Bergin Perez, an illegal Honduran immigrant, broke into a Kiryas Joel home in mid-September and interacted with a minor child just two days after being released for attempting to force his way into a Woodbury home. Perez, who was employed by several Jewish owned businesses in Kiryas Joel, was also arrested in August for a string of four apartment break ins in the village.
Perez pleaded guilty to Burglary in the Second Degree. He had originally been arrested on charges of Predatory Assault Against a Child and Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, but prosecutors agreed to the plea bargain deal in order to spare the victim, who was under 11 years old at the time of the attack, the difficulties of having to testify in court.
Christopher Borek, a spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, said that Perez will be subject to two and a half years of post release supervision after he completes his sentence.
According to the Times Herald Record, Perez will be deported back to Honduras by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement upon completion of his sentence.
And Trump isn’t right……
So does this mean Orange County will supervise him in Honduras for 2 1/2 years following his release???
Just kidding…
thats a long sentence , send him home
