According to the report, US President-elect Donald Trump’s team has informed regional allies of the plans.

CNN cited unnamed Israeli officials as speculating that the move could be announced as early as May 24, on the Israeli holiday “Jerusalem Day” that marks the reunification of the capital in the 1967 Six Day War.

The report emerged after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sent a letter to Trump urging him not to relocate his country’s embassy in Israel when he assumes office.

“The president asked the American president-elect to not take this step [moving the embassy], as it will have destructive consequences on the peace process, the two state solution and the safety and security of the region,” official PA news site Wafa reported on Monday, paraphrasing Abbas’s letter. Wafa did not specify exactly when the letter was sent to Trump.

In addition, US Secretary of State John Kerry told CBS in an interview on Friday that relocating the embassy would cause “an explosion, an absolute explosion in the region, not just in the West Bank, and perhaps [not] even [just] in Israel itself, but throughout the region.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a group of reporters on a state visit to Azerbaijan in mid-December that Trump’s plan to relocate the embassy is “great.”

I sincerely wish that our President to be will not execute this move.

As a caring Jew, I’m deeply concerned for the aftershocks of replacement will result.

Zionista and Bibi at its helm don’t give a hoot whether their requests can result in tensions or g-d forbid bloodshed.

The VIN commentators that heedlesly stampede that this move is for ‘good’ of the Jew, are tantamount to the toddler that believes running into cars is fun.

Mr. Trump probably has good intentions, as the Zionist disseminate the absolute gibberish that international Jewry is behind their plan.

No, we not and as Torah Jews who value peace, we object and strongly at that.

after Israel getting stabbed in the back by Obama, it would be nice for America to show their support of Israel by actually moving their embassy to Jerusalem.

If that Kerry comes back to Israel he should he should be arrested for terrorist incitement. The things he is quoted as saying are dangerous.

It’s a great chutzpah that the world does not recognize East Jerusalem as part of Israel and its capital. Everyone will be held accountable for not moving their embassiles there.

What peace process is Abbas talking about?

Abbas can’t spell English well. He means “the piece process” where the goal is to take all of Israel – Tel Aviv, Haifa, Beersheva – all of it. Piece by piece. This has been documented for decades. The Palestinians have a two-state solution as an interim step toward the ultimate one state solution and the reunification of a Pan Arab land mass, leading toward the Caliphate. Of course, groups like Neturei Karta would like to live in such a place. But I’m not sure how long they would be allowed to do so.

#1 is right and I hope Trump is only talking about it now to show Bibi that someone still talks about him. I honestly thinks Trump considers him a dangerous man & irrelevant & inciteful to Mid East peace. By moving the embassy there will only be more bloodshed and it will fall on Mr Trumps hands. He is not the bloodthirtsy animal Bibi is& has a conscience. Hes a responsible man and will never do it G D willing.

I agree that the move of the Embassy of the USA should be moved to Jerusalem; it should have been done years ago, but the spineless State Dept. (which was against Israel being created in the first place, in 1948), was against it. It should be noted that whether or not the Embassy is moved, the savages from the West Bank and Gaza, do not need an excuse to engage in suicide bombings, the launching of rockets and mortars, stabbings, shootings, car and truck ramming attacks, bombs planted in bus stations, restaurants, etc. They will engage in such atrocities, even if all of the land captured in 1967, was given back to them. Before 1967, there was no peace. Even before 1948, there was no peace, as the Arabs engaged in pogroms in Hebron in 1929, and 1936, as well as other areas, where Jews lived. Hence, let the Embassy be moved now. Am Yisrael Chai!!
