The budget presented by Mayor Nick Sanderson reduces some expenses, but it also projects declining revenues from sales taxes and municipal fees.

One of the largest rising expenses is the village’s defense against a lawsuit brought by Congregational Rabbinical College of Tartikov.

The budget proposes an across-the-board salary freeze for officials and employees.

This litigation with the Tartikov chassidim will bankrupt the village…the lawyers should be told to stop the lawsuit and go elsewhere

Shame on you Tartikov for making Pomona tax payers give and give just to fight your attempts at turning Pomona into central Monsey.

And you wonder why people get so angry in Rockland County with all of these yeshivas and shuls.

If you guys would read and understand what is going on Tartikov is wrong both legally and menchlichkeit also. The minute any Frum institution decides to do anything against the law in Monsey and surrounding areas and they are stopped they scream ANTI-SEMITISM. If they would have a little respect for Bain Adom Lechavero and for the community they may not have these problems. Kudos to Pomona , your’e not always right , but this time you are.

The issue here isn’t the Yeshiva. The issue is the 250 apartments that are going to be built with the Yeshiva. I firmly agree with post #13 . I have spoken with many of the Frum residents of Pomona and they do not want the Tartikov to build there and are in full support of Pomona.

There is also the issue of fighting this under Antisemitism. I am afraid that if this is used every time someone doesn’t get their way to build, eventually the word will hold no weight when a real serious situation comes up.
