They claim the alteration was criminal, making it appropriate for courts to intervene in the power struggle.

Democrats say the official journal is correct, that the vote for a new Senate president happened after the Senate adjourned, and journal corrections are routine.

State Supreme Court Justice Thomas McNamara is reviewing the claims. He has previously declined to rule on whether the contested leadership vote was legal, saying the court shouldn’t intrude on the Senate’s inner workings and urging senators to settle the dispute.

Why is there an even number of senators to begin with? I guess now its oddlly even… (pun intended). How odd & sad that not even ONE of “our senaters” would switch sides, just to get this mess over with! At this point I don’t care which party.. after this show of foolishness, there all destined to lose there jobs anyway.

as long as they can not do anything the better off we all are , sales taxes are expiring in some municipalities and that means tax free purchases , they should keep this on for the next 2 years and new york will be a much better place to live in

I would like to raise an interesting point. Usually the line of succession in state government is Lt. Gov. then Senate President. With both positions now vacant, if something should G”F happen to the Guv who will preside over NY?
