A new Quinnipiac University poll shows City Comptroller William Thompson trails Bloomberg 47 to 37 percent. That compares with Bloomberg’s 54 to 32 percent lead last month.
Quinnipiac notes another change. In June, pollsters described Thompson as the Democrat and Bloomberg as the independent.
In Tuesday’s poll, Bloomberg was identified as a candidate who was running as both a Republican and an independent.
The mayor is not running as a Republican but has secured the GOP ballot line.
The poll surveyed 1,290 registered city voters from July 21 to July 27. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.7 percentage points.
Hopefully hopefully bezras hashem
thompson got my vote i aint voting for this man again i paid enough tickets and taxes the last eight years
I hope to vote for William Thompson because with Mr. Bloomberg, I already know for sure he wants the trouble-making middle class people out. Then he will only have to deal with the wealthy and the poor. Ooooh he will love that. Every day he can show off to the rich that there is more culture and museums and art and safety, but of course, that money comes from the middle class who will pay Mr. Bloomberg millions through tickets he showers them with daily; the traffic tickets, the parking tickets, the garbage tickets, the water tickets, the registration tickets, the insurance tickets, the inspection tickets and so on. The poor will be helped because Mr. Bloomberg will hire them to give out all those tickets. When he hires them, he takes them off unemployment and off welfare. Then he can again show off how he is finding jobs for the poor.
Meanwhile, the regular, typical, ordinary citizens will be supporting all his projects by paying tickets for all the above reasons as well as paying taxes for a large amount of reasons.
Yes, William Thompson, count me in.
finaly, people getting to focus.
We need this bum out, he hiked taxes %100 in 7 years.
He put out business in the city, he harrased developers, he don’t care for average income people, a rich ego maniack.
Does everyone see the banner here on VIN, Bloomberg creates jobs? Could anyone tell what job Bloomberg created? I only know of jobs and businesses he took away by his ticket agents.
Bloomy is extremely arrogant to his constituents who question anything about the city. It comes out on his weekly radio spot.
How can you posters want a Democrat as a Mayor? Haven’t you learned from Dinkins and now Obama? I predict that if Thompson becomes Mayor, he will ruin the city. Remember the Crown Heights riots???? Don’t be fools.
thompson will beat bloomberg watch and see
The picture was taken through a darkened window, hence the reflection.
Never forget that after two public referendums, Bloomberg reversed the public’s decision for term limits with 45 councilmembers…as anti democratic a move as could be!
Bloomberg is bad but do we want onother David Dinkins.
