Collings Lake resident Eddie Baker, 19, pleaded guilty before Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Michael A. Donio. He will be sentenced July 28. Baker was charged with vandalism and a bias crime after the Oct. 25 and 27 incidents.

Baker, who is unemployed, said in court that he was alone and knew that a swastika would be hurtful to a synagogue. But when questioned by Donio, he repeatedly said he didn’t know why he defaced the synagogue or what he was thinking at the time.
