Sullivan County, NY – More than 60 people jammed the waiting room of the Sullivan County Legislature to protest the more then $1.1 million in cuts the county plans to make to off-set the funding loss, lawmakers say, is a result of not getting the state OK to hike the sales tax.

Most who attending are volunteers for Cornell Cooperative Extension, which stands to lose $240,000 as a result of the cuts.
