Register your GPS with the manufacturer. In that case, if it gets stolen and you provide the mfr. with the police report, they will track the device and call it in to Police for you.
As stated by mfr. of GPS to one victim of a stolen unit several weeks ago from Flatbush.

This happened a few months ago as well to cars that had GPS units. At that time the Kortchiner Ruv’s minivan was also broken into and the GPS unit was stolen. It is the hot item for the thieves now, as used to be the case with radios a few years ago.

Just rememeber to take out your GPS with you when you leave your vehicle or make sure that it is blocked from the outside so nobody will see that you have a GPS unit.

They should come out with new bumper stickers “No GPS aboard” like they had the “No radio aboard”
