This just shows how tolorence in the 21st century only applies to adverse life styles but never include Orthodox Jews.

Respnse to 1,2,3. It’s not only Haredim who ride public buses , on any line. And not all Haredim agree with this but must aquiesce due to community pressure.

The market should dictate the supply. Reaganomics can easily be applied (supply side economics). If the demand is there – fill it. If the seat on the bus is available – fill it. No Chareidi or Secular Jew for that matter can ever defy the rules MH of physics. Whether they ride together or separate – in the end their stop will come up and they will have to get off the bus. The only question remains is who will leave injured and black and blue. Also, you can’t MH satisfy everyone. What are the options? Give every individual their own bus? The whole country should suddenly become bus drivers? This obviously needs some additional thought as these ideas need to be further developed.

Intolerance of hasidim? No. The public has intolerance of the recent aggression towards women. Perhaps when women stop being bullied, yelled at, abused, spit on, and kicked for not adhering to the unwritten rules of the bus, then the public will no longer feel intolerant to more strict measures of religion.

Furthermore, this is PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, paid for by TAX PAYING MEMBERS of the country. The hasidim actually pay the least amount of taxes, and they’ve subverted the use of government buses for their own appropriations. This is intolerable. They can use private buses if they so wish, and pay a higher fee for the special treatment. But, in actuality, they pay a LOWER FARE than the rest of the Egged bus lines.

Finally, it appears that women are no longer allowed to have any say in Judaism, and nearly all the women disagree with this chumra. They have no voice, however, and have been bullied into accepting their lot.
