The Treasury Department announced Wednesday that it would freeze the assets in U.S. jurisdictions of Revolutionary Guard Gen. Rostam Qasemi and four subsidiaries of a construction firm that he commands and was hit with U.S. sanctions in 2007. Don’t they understand that as long as the leaders in iran are comfortable in their personal lives it won’t make a diffrence how many sanctions are imposed
Its the common iranian people who suffer and the top brass don’t care about them and they can’t protest in anyhow so they carry on as till now

what exactly do sanctions accomplish? if they dont adhere to them and there are no consequences for not listening, then what is the point? if you make a threat, follow through! its like being a parent or teacher- when you say there will be a consequence for certain behavior, you must follow through if that behavior is acted upon, or else the child learns that they can get away with it and will then push harder.
