A spokesman for Clinton released the following statement:

“Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest. Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his coronary arteries. President Clinton is in good spirits, and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts. In 2004, President Clinton underwent a successful quadruple bypass operation to free four blocked arteries.”

Doctors believe Clinton’s conditions is genetic. His more recent caring for his health and medications he is on should be working, but don’t. This aggressive form of coronary artery disease is typically genetic and medications have little impact. However, people with this disease, if they take care of themselves, now live into their 80’s and 90’s thanks to these stents, as opposed to dying in their 50’s as was the case just 30 years ago.

    Refuah shelaimoh, Mr. President.

A Sephardic, Orthodox philantrophist died in a helicoper crash recently in Mexico, had Mr. Clinton at his home for a fundraising for Yeshivas in Israel. Yes, for Yeshivios. Can you imagine Obama doing that? (I hope one day Bloomberg will do this for Yeshivas!)

Mr. Clinton does also have a heart for the poor.

We wish you a speedy recovery Mr. President.and hope you will be out soon to continue your great work for Haiti and for others.

Wow, I can’t believe all the nice things people here are saying about him. When he was president, the Republicans and conservatives villified him like no president before or after. Well, since then, it turns out he is a mentch an a great humanitarian. I hope he has a refuah shelaimo so he can continue his humanitarism in Haiti and where ever else hes needed. Get well soon, Bill.

Best well wishes to a remarkable President. People tend to take things for granted and don’t realize what a long and hard job he had on a daily basis! Just to keep up with that kind of daily grind, constantly being pulled in all different directions, would’ve certainly drained out the juice from anyone. We should see the President have a speedy recovery!!
